HORTICULTURAL SHOW.

The local Horticultural Society’s Autumn Show takes place in the Town Hall on Thursday and Friday next. Entries close with the secretary at 9 o’clock to-night. The tea-room will he under the supervision of Mrs F. Procter. Gifts for the tea-room will be thankfully received. Miss L. Woodroofe will have charge of the sweets stall. The public will be entertained on both evenings with vocal and instrumental items. Mr Betty’s orchestra will provide the instrumental music, and Miss Signal has arranged the vocal programme. The admission on both afternoons will be (id, and in the evening Is. . The Borough Band will discourse a programme of music outside the Hall. The Secretary informs us that entries are coming in very freely, and the Show promises to be one of the most successful yet held.
