A remarkable feat has been performed by a young Gisborne girl — Miss Dorothy O’Meara—in driving a heavy ear about 1,400 miles in a fortnight without a mishap. The party travelled from Gisborne to Rotorua, via Opotiki, thence to Auckland, Waitomo Caves, Mokau, Mount Messenger, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Palmerston North and Napier, and then back to Gisborne. The worst road experienced was that between Napier and Gisborne. For a girl to manipulate a car along the tortuous road in the Motu hills is no mean achievement (states a Gisborne exchange).

YOU CAN DEPEND ON IT that if you procure the GENUINE SANDER EUCALYPTI EXTRACT you will not only be benefited, but you will be safe from the harmful effects of the common eucalyptus oils and the so-called “extracts.” The importance of this is brought forcibly by the report in the Vollourne “Age,” August sth, 1916, of poisoning of about 30 girls by eucalyptus lollies, which were evidently made from the common eucalyptus. SANDER’S EXTRACT can always be relied .on. It prevents meningitis and all other infectious diseases; sniffed up the nose and three drops on sugar. Applied to ulcers, poisoned wounds, bums, sprains, eczema, it gives prompt relief and cures permanently. Colds, bronchitis, lung trouble, rheumatism, neuralgia, are banished by it. SANDER’S EXTRACT is beneficial in so many affections that no household can afford to be without it. Specially refined and prepared by Sander’s process it has no harmful by-effects; you run no risk with SANDER’S EXTRACT.—Advt.

MUSIC IX WAR TIME. The present is essentially a time for home-enjoyment —for simple diversions that keep the family circle in courage and good cheer. Nothing so admirably meets this need as a high-grade English Piano, such as one can easily obtain at “The Bristol.” Of the many famous instruments stocked by this popular Music Warehouse, none enjoys such an enviable reputation as “The Broadwood.” Another notable Piano at “The Bristol”\is “The Sames,” Its exceptional durability is a tribute to the thoroughness of British craftsmanship. Prices arc most reasonable, and easy terms of payment' can be. arranged, if so desired. The Bristol Piano Co., Ltd., Wellington. North Island Manager, M. J. Brookes. —Advt.
