SUCCESSFUL CLAIM BY RELATIONS.
Wellington, Feb. 23. The Chief Justice to-day gave judgment regarding the will, of tlie late Mr Andrew Casey, of Hamilton, who left the residue of bis estate of £25,605 to the Catholic Church. His Honour said that under the will the church stood to benefit to the extent of £15,397. He commented on the fact that none of the children wore physically strong, and some even with the legacy left under the will, would be unable to maintain themselves. His Honour was of the opinion that certain fixed gifts to the church at Hamilton should stand, and that an increase to (he widow should come out of the residue. He further thought that each of the ten children should receive £BOO in addition to the sums of £2OO or £3OO allowed them under the will, and that £BOO of accumulated interest should he divided among the claimants. An order was made that the total costs of the action should'come out of the estate.
