PROTESTANT POLITICAL ASSOCIATION.
The first meeting of the Protestant Political Association will be held in the Coronation Town Hall on Friday next, March Ist. As intimated by advertisement, the admission is by ticket only. The objects of the Association are the or-* ganisation of Protestants into an association to maintain and defend the rights and liberties of the people and to promote the political, social, and moral wellbeing of the Dominion of New Zealand; to secure the return of approved candidates to Parliament, and to civic office; to secure the impartial administration of the laws of the Dominion; to safeguard the State and the Empire against the aggressions of sectarian interests; to promote loyalty to the Protestant religion, the King (beyng Protestant), and to the Empire. The demand for tickets has been such that a crowded meeting is assured. The Hon. Wm. Earnshaw, M.L.C., will be the principal sepaker.
