ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Napier, Feb, 10. A remittance man named W. T. Devlin was drowned on the beach on Saturday, at 7 p.m. Christchurch, This Day. Frederick James Swanston, a married man, aged 44 years, with five children, was drowned while bathing at New Brighton beach yesterday, his wife and children being spectators of the fatality. Auckland, Yesterday. William Styles, aged 63, who disappeared from Fraukton on Wednesday, was found drowned in the Manukau Harbour, with his feet tied together. Ashburton, Yesterday. Robert Todd, aged 67, a married man with a family, was accidentally killed at Mount Somers on Friday by a dray overturning.
