PATRIOTIC SHOP
The shop was open on Saturday last, when Mrs A. Ross and Miss Signal were in charge. They report a successful day. Gifts are acknowledged from Mrs Kellow, Mrs G. Rough, Mrs W. Ross, Mrs Mandl, Mrs Hussey, Mrs Healey, Mrs S. Easton, Mrs Bock, Mi’s Boyden, Mrs J. A. .Ross, Mrs C. Symons, Miss Woodroofe, Mrs F. Robinson, Airs Woodropfe, Air Hughes, Aliss Signal, Airs W. Signal, Mr W. Honore, Airs Harvey, Aliss Rand, Airs A. S. Easton, Airs H.' Thynne, Airs Newth, Airs King, Airs J. H. Robinson, Airs C. Spiers, Air Hayward, Airs Henricksen, a friend, Air A. Ross, Airs Smith, Airs John Ross, Airs Raikes, Mr Chryslall, Airs Renton, and Airs Baker. The competition for the lamb was won by Alessrs Preston, Kellow and Thynne, who each guessed the. correct weight, 371b5., while the competition for the marrow, which weighed 7jibs,, was won by Airs Cowley and Aliss Robinson. The men have charge of the shop on Saturday next, when the proceeds will be given to the Wounded Soldiers’ Fund.
