FOXTON RACES.
TO-DAY’S MEETING,
Every thing is in readiness for the meeting to-day, which promises to be very successful. There will be no special trains, but as motors are being used more now at every meeting the attendance will not he greatly affected by the short-sighted policy of the Railway Depart merit. The fields promise to he good all through, and second dividends will be paid out in almost all the events. The starting is in the hands of Mr Angus Keith, who has proved himself a very capable man at the harrier.
The course is in particularly good order, the recent rains having had a very 7 beneficial effect on same, and the racing throughout promises to he interesting. Mr J. E. Henrys’ adjustments have met with universal approval, as the excellent acceptances prove, and the winners appear to be fairly well concealed. The Club this year is running its own gates, and no increase in the admission charges has been made, with (he exception that all gentlemen’s complimentary tickets are liable to the payment of one shilling at the outside gales.
The first race starts at 12 noon
