LAXITY OF STREET CONTROL.
London, Jan, 4.
Sir Thomas Mackenzie, the New Zealand High Commissioner, in a letter to the newspapers, contradicts the charge attributed to Mr Jamieson that no care was taken of New Zealanders, but he must agree with *Mr Jamieson regarding the laxity of London street control and the facilities for intemperance and immorality. He adds: “I have called official attention to these conditions, and ■will; continue to urge that effective legislation he passed.”
