SCALDED TO DEATH.

i. Rotorua, Jan. 7.

A Maori girl five years of age, Riria Pakuarangi, got into a bath just cleaned out at Ohinemutu on Saturday, but the water was so hot that the child was fatally scalded. At the inquest a verdict of accidental death was returned. Another child was severely scalded in the same bath on Sunday.
