BOWLING.

There are sixteen rinks taking part in the Manawatu Centre Tournament being played on the Palmerston North Club’s green. Play commenced on Tuesday morning, when the weather was anything but favourable, the wind being very tricky, and a fair amount of rain fell during the morning. Yesterday the weather again was against good 1 , bowling. There was no rain, but the wind was more tricky than ever, Foxton was represented at the tournament by one rink, Large, Crawley, Nyc, F..D. Whibley (s), playing on*Tuesday, and Large, D. Whibley, Crawley, F. D. Whibley \s) continuing yesterday and to- J day.
