A match for the Nye Ferns was played on the local green yesterday afternoon, with the result that the challenging team deefated the holders by four points. The following are the teams and scores Challengers. Holders. Large D. Whibley M.H. Walker Spring . Mandl Hawke P. Whibley (s) 21 Nye (s) 17 The following are the results of ladder games played Recently— Hawke 19 beat M. H. Walker IC, and Nye 21 beat F. Whibley 15. The Manawatu Centre Tournament will be held at Palmerston North on January Ist, 2nd, and 3rd, The Poxton Club will be represented by at least one rink. Challenges for the Gold Stars, at present held by a Foxton rink, have been received from Levin and Palmerston North. The matches will be played after the holidays.
