JJELIEF Express trains making usual stops of the ordinary express trains will run between Wellington and Auckland as under: — LEAVE WELLINGTON 2.0 p.ra., Palmerston North depart 5.14 p.m., Feilding 5.39 p.m., Mart on arrive 6.17 p.m., depart 6.41 p.ra., daily (except Sunday, 6th January) from 17th December to 7th January, 1918, inclusive, Auckland arrive 7.50 a.m. This train also stops at Mangaweka and Owhango, except on Sundays, 23rd and 30th December. During running of this Relief Express train the ordinary 12.45 p.m. Wellington-Auckland Express train will, take passengers from Wellington only for Taihape and stopping stations beyond Taihape, and for stations beyond Woddville on the Napier line, and will NOT take up passengers at Palmerston North, Mercer, or intermediate stopping stations. Passengers from these stations must travel by the Welling ■ ton-Auckland Relief Express train leaving Wellington at 2.0 p.m,, or by the Palmerston North-Auckland Express train leaving Palmerston North at 2.35 p.m, (on 21st, 22nd and 24th December, Ist and 2nd January only). NOTE.—The ordinary train leaving Wanganui 4.15 p.m. for Palmerston North daily (except Sundays) will connect at Marten with above Relief Express train. LEAVE AUCKLAND, 7.40 p.m. daily (except Saturdays "29th December and sth January) from 17th December to 7th January, 1918, inclusive, Marian arrive 8.45 a.m., depart 9.10 a.m., daily (except Sundays 30th December and Glli January), from 18th December to Bth January, inclusive, Feilding depart 9.51 a.m., Palmerston North depart 10.23 a.m., Wellington arr. 1.50 p.m. This (rain also stops at Owhango and Waimarino except on Saturday 22nd December. During running of this Relief Express train the ordinary 7.10 p.m. Auckland-Wellington Express train will take passengers from Auckland only for Waiouru,, Taihape- and slopping stations beyond Taihape, and will NOT take up passengers at any stopping station between Mercer and Palmerston North (both inclusive) except for and from Waiouru. Passengers from these stations must travel by the AucklandPalmerston North Express train leaving- Auckland at 8.40 p.m. (leaving Auckland on 21st, 22nd, 24th December, Ist and 2nd January only); or by the Auckland-Welling-ton Relief Express train leaving Auckland at 7.40 p.m. ON SATURDAY, 22nd DECEMBER, and MONDAY, 24th DECEMBER, 1917, Extra Relief Express trains will run as under: — FOR AUCKLAND.—Wellington dep. 8.45 p.m., Palmerston North arr. 11.50 p.m., dep. 12.0 midnight, Feilding dep. 12.25 a.m. (Sunday, 23rd December and Tuesday 25th December), Marton - arr. 1.3 a.m., dep, 1.9 a.m., Auckland arr, 2.50 p.m. This train stops-for passengers at Palmerston North, Feilding, Marion, Taihape, 'Waiouru, Ohakune, Waimarino, Taumarunui, Te Kuiti, Frankton, and Mercer. ON SATURDAY, 22nd DECEMBER, and SATURDAY, 29th DECEMBER, 1917, Extra Relief Express trains making usual Express train stops will run as under; — FOR WELLINGTON. —Auckland dep. 7.10 p.m., Marton arr. 8.7 a.m., dep. 8.42 a.m. (Sunday 23rd, and Sunday 30th December), Feilding dep. 9.23 a.m., Palmerston North arr. 9.45 a.m., dep. 9,55 a.m., Wellington arr. 1.8 p.m. EXPRESS TRAINS, PALMERSTON NORTH-AUCKLAND.
