BOWLING.
The second of the series of triangular games between the Shannon, Foxton and Levin Clubs was played bn-the Levin green yesterday afternoon, when two rinks each fi’om Shannon and Foxton played four Levin rinks. The home teams were successful in all four games, and have now a very substantial lead on the aggregate. The visitors were very hospitably entertained. The following are the teams and scores: — Levin. Foxton. Lancaster Lumsden Broughton E. Walker , Brown £). Whihley Porteous (s) 19 F. Whibley (s) 17 Kiyk ktrtge Hold(iw{iy Stewart Harris * Woods' Pollock (s) 22 Nye (at) ' 13 Levin. Shannon, Ingram Hook Young Shankland Roe Gibson Thompson(s) 21 Bilderbeck (s) 19 Reading Carr Ball Hennessy Snhan Butt Jameson (s) 29 Stephenson (s) 11 The aggregate scores of each club in flic two matches played are: — Levin (G games) 139, Shannon (6 games) 100, Foxton (4 games) 70, The final match will he played on the Foxton green on January 11th, when four local rinks will play two each from Levin and Shannon. Everything points to the “gala day” to be held on the local green next Wednesday being very successful, a large number of visiting lapel r ers being expeeteej. Play will, commence at 9 o’clock in the morning, and continue all day. Local players wishing to play in the iqorning, af-. terpoon, or gll dny, *U’e requested to put their names op the hoard at the green so that the rinks can be arranged. ,
