Of the estates certified for death duty during the month of October the largest was that of the late Hon. E. C. J,"Stevens, £282,272. The certified value of the estate of the late late Mr J. C. Macky, of Messrs Macky, Logan, Caldwell and Co., who lost his life as the result of the Lusitania disaster, is £104,019.
