MANAWATU COUNTY NOMINATIONS.
Nominations closed at noon today for representatives on the various ridings of the Manawatu County. The following nominations were received: — Sandon Riding.—AY. J. Phillips (sitting member). Mount Stewart Riding.—Sir James Wilson (sitting member and chairman). Waitohi. —W. S. Penny (sitting member). Rongotea Riding,—H. H. Hunt (sitting member). Kawakawa Riding.—J. Boyce 'and H. H. Simmons. Carnarvon Riding.-—II. G. Hammond (sitting member). Awahou Riding.—W. E. Barber "(sitting member). _ It will be seen that all the sitting members were returned unopposed except Mr E. Gray, of the Kawakawa Riding, resigned, and for which riding there will be an election.
