THE LATE MR. ARTHUR TURNER.
i The late Mr Turner was the eldest son of Mr and Mrs W. Turner, of Addington, Christchurch, and was born at Spreydon, Canterbury. He served his time at general engineering with Mr Horn, and about 13 years ago came to this district, and was employed by Messrs Levin and Co. in the river service. Some time ago he took up farming pursuits on his father-in-law's (Mr. George Coley) farm, at Himatangi, where he remained up till the time of his death. Deceased was of a retiring disposition, and well liked by all ■ with whom he was acquainted. He was a devoted husband and father, and general sympathy is extended to his wife and nine-year- old daughter and members of his fami-. ly. Deceased's two brothers, Messrs W. T. and Alfred, managed to arrive'in time yesterday to attend the funeral of their brother.
