PATRIOTIC SHOP.
The Patriotic Shop on Saturday last was under the charge of Mesdames Ernest Ball and Arthur Harper. The competitions for the cakes were won by Miss Lorna Robinson 'with number 10, and Mrs C. E. Robinson, with 31bs. 12 ozs., the weight of the cake being 31bs. lloz. The sheep weighed 62-Jlbs., and was won by Messrs Stevenson and Sexton. Gifts arc acknowledged from: — Mcsdames Woodhnm, F. Robinson, Patterson, Woodroofo, Chrystall, Jas. Robinson, Shailer, Rivers, Harvey, Speirs, A. Green, A. Smith, Betty, A. Ross, C. Robinson, McLeod, J; Reeves, E. Huntley, A. S. Easton, J. Stevenson, A. L. Harper, Sydney Easton, King, E. Ball, Procter, Gibbs, C. Symons, F. de Ridder, Renton, A. P. Easton, Misses Symons, J, A. Ross, Messrs Walsh and R. N. Speirs, On Saturday next the Foxton Ladies’ Patriotic Guild and the Foxton Girls’ Guild are uniting to make a big effort in aid of the “Our Day” Red Cross crusade which is being conducted during this week all over the Dominion. The members of the Girls’ Guild will have charge of the Shop, under the leadership of Miss Moxham.
