WILFUL MURDER.
CORONER’S VERDICT IN THE KAUANGAROA TRAGEDY. Wanganui, October 11. The inquest on Mrs Bennier, victim of the Kauangaroa tragedy, was held to-day. The Coroner returned a verdict of wilful murder against the husband, Frank Bennier. Evidence showed that accused, in the early hours of the morning, attacked four men and two women with an axe. All were seriously injured, Mrs Bennier succumbing. Bennier will be brought before the Court in the morning. Later. Bennier was yesterday committed for trial at the Supreme Court.
