THE ROUND BUSH.
VISIT BY MESSRS FIELD AND
ELL. M’s.P.
Some time ago 1 the Borough Council invited Messrs W. 11. Field and Ell M's.i*., to visit the Round Bush, part of the Harbour Board’s endowment, with the object of urging ti>e Government to acquire same as a scenic reserve, add to equitably compensate tlie Horbour Board for same. The Board offered portion of this magnificent bush to the Council in exchange for portion of a borough endowment adjoining. The Council invited Messrs lield and Ell to inspect the bush, and they arrived to-day, in company with Mr Ashinn. a Government official, The visitors were met by the Mayor, and were entertained at luncheon at Whyte's Hotel. The party, accompanied by members of the Harbour Board and Borough Council, visited the locality this afternoon.
