BOWLING.
Great interest is being evinced by local bowlers in the Club’s ladder competition, the black-board being well tilted with challenges. This competition promises to be most popular, all the members being keen on climbing as high np the ladder as possible. All the clubs in the district are getting ready for opening their greens, and so far Foxton bowlers have received invitations for the following openings; Shannon, on Wednesday, October 3rd; Palmerston North, on Wednesday, October 40th; and Feilding, on Saturday, October 13th, Players intending to lie present at the openings are requested to notify the secretary (Mr Large), sojhat the rinks can be arranged.
