AUGUST GRADING RETURNS. The (olal number of bales of hemp graded during August was 12,028, as compared wilb 10,005 for the corresponding- period of last year, an increase of 1,9(53 bales. For (he 12 months ended 31st August, 1017, the number of bales graded was .148,837, as compared with 148,231 for the previous twelve months, an increase of GOG bales. For the 12 months ended 31st August, 19 17 , 30,1(54 bales of tow were graded, as compared with 41,183 for the previous twelve months, a decrease of 5,019 bales; also 3,720 bales of stripper slips, as compared with 7,08(5 for (he previous 12 months.
