THE BULB SHOW.
The Bulb Show, to bo held in the Coronation Hall next Tuesday, the 11th inst., under the auspices of the local Horticultural Society, promises to be a great success. An attractive programme of amusements for young and old has been arranged. These will include pillow-fight-ing, apple-bobbing,, and shooting competitions. As in the past, Mr Betty’s Orchestra will enliven the proceedings, and the Borough Band will play a programme outside the Hall. Foxton soil is well suited for growing flowers, and many growers have signified their intention of exhibiting. Several outside exhibits are also promised. Children arc well catered for in the cookery and decorative classes. The Society would like it to be understood that it is not intended that thq cookery sections should he limited to children attending cooking classes. This provision was made when the cooking for the show was done in the Hall. Any child, girl or boy, attending school, and of school age, may enter, the only condition, of course, being that the work is done by the exhibitor. The officers of (he Society will be only too pleased to give intending exhibitors assistance in classifying their blooms before the show.
