From present indications the coming season should lie one of tlio most successful in the. history ot. the loea! Chib. The green has been well looked after since the close of last season, and will be in really tiptop order for the opening next month. {Seven new members have already been enrolled, and it is anticipated this number will be increased before the season opens. A meeting of (he commit(oe is to be held to-night. The,following officers were elected at the annual mooting ot the Shannon Club, held on Monday night;—President, Mr T. F. Gibson; vice-president, Mr F. Ilennessy; secretary, Mr J. B. Shnnkland; treasurer, Mr 11. Eliott; auditor, Mr Galland; general commit tee, Messrs Ilensman, Butt, Stephenson, Galland, Shanklaml, and Mitchell; green committee, Messrs Bull, Farghev, Stephenson, Ilonnossy and Gunning; selection committee, Messrs Stephenson, Gunning and Favglier.
