WESTERN-UNITED (1.3) v. FOXTON (10). On Saturday afternoon a friendly game was played between a tea nr from (he Western-United Club and a team from Foxton, at Palmerston North. The game was a very even one, and (bough (lie Foxton team had (he advantage in weight, they failed to make full use of it, and the game ended with the Reds the winners hy throe points. Mr J. Brown controlled the game. It is intended to play a return match at Foxton on Saturday next.
