ll can now be staled with cerUiiiily that the Government will not bring down an amendment of the Military Sendee Act lowering I lie age of.' compulsory service from 20 to 10 years. It is, however, still considered possible that Cabinet may decide to include in the amending .Bill a clause providing that ii a person 10 years of age can satisfy the Medical Board as to his physical qualilica 1 ions he may be accepted as a volunteer, provided he has the permission of his parents.
