A FATALITY IN AUCKLAND.
MAX KXOCKRD DOWN BY A .MAORI. Auckland, Yesterday. James \V. Hooker, aged 58, was knocked down in the street by a Maori who was endeavouring to escape arrest. When pursued by a constable, the Maori collided violently with Hooker, who complained of severe pains in the abdomen and leg. He was conveyed to the Hospital, where ho died.
