ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES.
Electoral boundaries were mentioned in the House in connection with a Ministerial statement that the Boundaries Commissioners would be set to work in the near future. Members realise that the census of lasi year will bring about many alterations in boundaries, and they made the oft-heard appeal for consideration for community of interest and natural geographical divisions. The Minister for Internal Affairs reminded the House that the Commissioners were statutory officers, beyond the control of the Government, and that their duty was to see that each electorate contained as nearly as possible its proper quota of population. The grievance caused by unnatural and awkward boundaries is an old one, difficult to remedy without giving rise to the injustice of over or under representation.
