. CHRISTMAS PUDDING FUND. On Saturday last Mrs James Robinson conducted (lie campaign at the Patriotic Shop to raise funds for providing Christmas, pareels for the New Zealand troops, and had a very successful day, Tod being raised. Harper, Frank Robinson, Harvey, Raine, Mil ('hell, McLeod, X. Ross, Tiiynne, Waters,. Fred. .Robinson, Hall, Nicholls, Follow, King, Procter, Hough, C. Symons, R, Easton, A. P. Fusion, I!. C. (lower, A. L. Harper, Gibbs, Henderson, F. de Bidder, Jas. Stevenson, Misses Lucy Thompson, Duncan, Symons, Littlejohn, D. Signal, L. Armstrong, N. LcLieorc, Spoil’s, .Messrs W. Nyc, Healey, Bullard, W. Thompson, Large, F. Robinson, M. H. Walker, Chrystall, 0. Robinson, Walsh, A. L. Harper and Bock. The competition guessing the weight of a sheep donated by Air las. Robinson, was keenly contested. The weight was lit lbs., and was guessed by Messrs Sexton, A. B. .Morgan, W. J. Wallhutton ami Ellers, who divided. The competition for a child’s dress ami jacket was won by Airs Lnmsden (No. 31) and Airs Jennings (No. 49). Air P. Martin, with, 221 yards, and Airs Ball, 22 yards, were the winners of the cushion competition for length of string. Next Saturday Messrs Moxham ami Hare will have charge of the shop, and the Motueka apples will be on sale; while some interesting competitions are being arranged.
