BITS ABOUT BOOTS.
High bools ore still as popular as ever —some of the latest have straps of patent leather which button across the leg, giving a glimpse of dainty silk stocking. To wear with house frocks there are some delightful brocaded shoes —a coloured pattern on a blackground, picked out with gold and silver thread. Sometimes the toe part is black velvet and the rest brocade. Brogues are as popular as ever for country wear with rough tweed costumes, and they’re mostly made in a delightful deep, subdued brown leather that is far nicer than the one-time violet tan. Clocked stockings are very popular again ,but they’re rather unostentatious clocks—generally of silk the same colour as the. fabric.
