SUDDEN DEATH AT RAILWAY STATION.

A tragically sudden death occurred at the Palmerston North railway station just before 1 o’clock yesterday, one of the passengers, a woman named Florence Coates, aged about 40, passing away as she was being assisted from the train from Wellington. During the journey from Longburn the attention of Guard Williamson was called to the passenger, who was apparently in a stale of collapse. Assistance was rendered her; when she was being removed to the waiting room at Palt -merston she expired. The deceased joined the train at Longburn, her destination being Feilding. She had been under medii cal treatment at the beginning- of the month, and it was expected a ' certificate of death would be given.
