PATRIOTIC SHOP.
Airs Bilker and Miss Speirs had charge of the Patriotic Shop on Saturday last, end did very good business. The weight-gues-ing for a pig was keenly competed, and the weight, (13 lbs,, was guessed by Miss McGregor and Messrs Hull, ;ind Arthur Fuller. The weight of the cake was s!bs. sozs., and was guessed by Mrs Alex. Ross, while Miss Eileen Robinson won the table-centre. Gifts are gratefully acknowledged from Mesdames Ha rper, Hooker, King, Spell’.-, Skellen. Kellow, Per-' refill, AVondroofe, A. Ross, Patterson, Thvnne, F. Robinson, John Ross, J. Robinson, Yanko, Howan, John Robinson. G. King, Heuriek-,-en, Hefsdeu. {.‘has. Robinson, \V. Svmons, (iiblis, Rimmeiv Signal. Walker, ('. Symons, Rough, Messrs W. Nye and F. do Ridder. Next Saturday the proceeds of the -hop-will be devoted to the War Fund of the Y.M.C.A., and MrChas. Robinson will Imve charge, and will be plea-ed to receive gillor dona-lion-. The Secretary would be piea-eo to hear of any lady or gentleman collecting for the fund, the V.M.C.n. not having on any previous occasion appealed to the I’oxton public and the work of the Association is indispciisa hie lot lie I mops.
