FIRST DIVISION.
SCSUEXSIuX OU YOLUXTARY RECRUITING. The recent decision of the Recruiting Board that voluntary recruiting of First Division men should cease is given effect by an Order-in-('onncil issued yesterday. The voluntary enlistment of “reservists over twenty-one years of age and belonging to the First .Division of Hie Re-erve" is lo cease throughout Xew Zealand on Saturday next. The order is made under Clause nl of the Military Service Act, and while il is in form 1 no First Division man over twenty-one years of age will lie I a ken into the Expeditionary Force except under the compulsory clauses of the Act. Alen who arc over twenty years of age, hut under twenty-one will still be able to enlist as volunteers, the -Act making provision for the suspension of voluntary recruiting only in the case of reservists who have passed their 1 wentv- first birthdav.
