OBITUARY.
The death oecurred at Hawera yesterday morning of Airs Sarah Sears, at the age of 74 years and six months. The deceased, for the past 11 years had been living with her daughter, Airs Alitehell, local librarian, and only left Foxton last Saturday morning to take up her residence with her son, Air F. Bridgewater, at Hawera. The cause ol death was bronchitis. The late Airs Sears arrived in New Zealand from England with her lirsl husband, Air Bridgewater, about 11 years ago, in the ship Hawera, and was employed on the Oroua Downs estate. Subsequently they removed to Alorrison’s Bush (Greytown), where deceased’s husband died, and where she spent about 31 years. Deceased’s second husband was Air Sears, who predeceased her about 11 real's ago. There are two sons Mr Ruehen Bridgewater, of Greytown, and Air Fred. Bridgewater, of Hawera, and one daughter, Airs .Mitchell, of Foxton, and thirteen grandchildren, left to mourn their loss, and to whom we extend our heartfelt sympathy. The funeral took place at Hawera to-day.
