LOCAL BILL. The manawatu , county COUNCIL hereby gives public notice that the said Council proposes to introduce in the General Assembly, at its next Session, a Local Bill inti tied “THE MANAWATU COUNTY LOAN AND EMPOWERING BILL.” The objects intended to bo eiteeted by the said Bill are; — To enable the said Council to raise under “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913/’ with the consent of the Ratepayers a special loan of not exceeding £IB,OOO (eighteen thousand pounds) over all or any part of the County for, and in connection with, the following purposes : (a) The extension of the line of the Tramway into the bed of the Rangitikei River. (b) The laying of new sidings to the line of the Tramway and the relaying of any part or parts of (ho existing line of the Tramway. (c) The erection and acquisition of buildings, structures, machinery and plant for the purposes of the Tramway, and (lie making of alterations and additions in and to existing buildings, structures, machinery and plant. (d) The acquisition of any laud or estate or interest in land for the purposes of the tramway, or of any buildings or works connected therewith. (c). The acquisition of additional locomotives, wagons, and carriages for the purposes of the Tramway. (f) The repayment to the Council’s General Account of the sum of One thousand one hundred and seventy-seven pounds (£1,177) heretofore expended out of such account for the purposes of the Tramway. (g) The acqnisition, erection and equipment of a stone-crushing .and elevating plant. (h) The acquisition of road-mak-ing plant-and machinery. To enable the Council to pledge a special rate as security for such hum. To provide that the authority to raise the hum shall not lapse by reason of no part of (he money being borrowed within two years from the Poll. AND NOTICE is hereby further given that copies of the said Bill have been this day deposited in the Magistrate's Courts at Bulls and Eoxton, and at the Odiee of the said Conned, Sanson, and that such copies will be open for public inspection at the said Courts .and Olliee respectively for three complete weeks from this date.
