BOY SHOT BY PEA RIFLE.
Gisborne, May 28. Ralph Hale, aged fourteen years, was fatally shot by a pea-riile at Manga kuna, Tolago Bay. He had handed the rifle to a native boy, who, thinking it unloaded, aimed it at him, and shot him through the head. At the inquest a verdict of death by misadventure was returned.
