NEXT WEEK’S BALLOT.
A BIG DRAW EXPECTED. ALMOST AS HEAVY AS LAST ONE. To-day is the latest dale upon which men may vohmleer for the Wind Reinforcements, mobilising two mouths hence. A ballot will he taken on Tuesday next from the remaining members of Hie First Division of I he Expeditionary Eorce Reserve to make up the shortage existing. The proportion of Reservists to he drawn will he Hie same as in the last ha Hot —live for every vacancy to be Idled. If is thus expected that next week's ballot will be as large, or almost as large, as Hie preceding one, in which 8,530 names were drawn. The total number of men remaining in Hie First Division at Hie conclusion of the last ballot was 3!),020. Voluntary recruiting for the 33rd Reinforcements will remain .open for another month. As from Monday next men may also enlist for the 34th Reinforcements.
