FOOTBALL.
A seven-aside match was played in (he school grounds yesterday afternoon between a team representing the local boys attending the Palmersimi High School and a. team of local Stale school boys. The High School boys played one short. The local Stale school boys inflicted a severe drubbing on their opponents, winning by 2f points to nil. The local school hoys displayed better combination, and outpointed their opponents in every department. Hall scored most of the points for (he school, and Walls also crossed the line. Mr Jackson impartially controlled the game.- The High School hoys will have to display something heller than yesterday’s form before they can score a win. Tlie school children took a keen delight in watching the game, and their delight was vocally demonstrated each time the school scored. A return match will be played later.
