BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurer reported at last night’s Council meeting as follows:—
The following amounts were received during the month of April and placed to credit as under: District 'fund account >1372 14s 3d, cemetery account £7 12s (id. The balances of the various funds at the Hank of New Zealand as at (he 301 h April. 1917, were as follows: District- fund account, debit, ,Cl 1.0 5s 3d, cemetery account, credit, CM 15s 10d, .and the ledger balances at the same date its follows: Cemetery Cll 15s lOd, contractor's deposit £3O, giis works C(SO !3s sd, hospital and charitable aid C2B 4s 3d, library C 5 Is Id, sanitation £9l 13s (id, town hall £9 4s B<l, Whirokino bridge interest £5 14s 9d, Whirokino bridge interest No 2 £l2 12s 7d, Shannon bridge £5 13s 7d, council chamber £5 (is (id, roads and streets No 212 s Id, Beach road £2l 9s 7d, ail in credit, a total of £297 Is lOd, The accounts at debit were; Imprest cash £lO, reserves £l7 12s Bd, and general £3O/ 18s /d, totalling £395 11s'3d,
