A challenge rink from the Balmerston Club — Whitehead,Tattersail, •). Nash, 11. Nash (s) —defeated the holders of the Dixon Cup: Barry, J. Bartholomew, Soler, Saywell (s), at Eeilding, on Saturday afternoon. Eeilding scored on nine of the 21 heads, hut their total was only 10; the challengers’ total being IS. Shannon, Alasterton, Pabiatna, and Terrace End have challenges in for the Dixon Cup in the order named. Tomorrow afternoon a rink from the local (Mul), skipped by Rimmer, will visit: Shannon and play Ihe holders of Hie Gold Stars, and on (he following Wednesday another rink will visit Eeilding and endeavour to get possession of the Alenson and Barr Gup. A match for the Nyc Ferns will he played on the local green to-mor-row afternoon.
