THE COAL STRIKE ON THE COAST.

ALL TEE MIXES IDLE. Christchurch, April 7. All the coal mines were idle yesterday and to-day. The voting at Stockton on Thursday night was unanimously in favour of ceasing work. At Millerton .there was a majority of twelve to continue work, but when the decisions elsewhere were ascertained they also ceased work. The watersiders are loading the coal in stock, but it will all be disposed of to-day. Train services will necessarily be cut down.
