CONCERT AT RANGIOTU.

There was a crowded and appreciative audience at the annual Presbyterian Concert held in the Kangiotu Hall oh Tuesday night. The programme was supplied by performers from Palmerston, the Awapuni Camp, and Foxton. Good business was done by the ladies who conducted a stall in the hall. Miss Jamison, assisted by a committee of ladies, were responsible for the effort, and they are to be congratulated upon the success of the function, upwards of £2O being raised. The Rev. J. H. Bredin presided, and at the conclusion thanked all who had assisted. The choruses by the school children and soldiers were keenly appreciated. Items were contributed by school children, Sergt.-Major Chapman, Mr and Mrs Henderson (Palmerston), Pte. 0. Carrol! (dances), Mrs Simpson ( Palmerston ), Mr Hornblow, Lanee-Corpl. Hardie, Sergt.-Major Bareham, Miss Signal, Pte. Stewart, Miss 11a Wilton, Pte. Gibson, and a, duel by Mr Hornblow and Miss Signal. The soldiers called for cheers for the “parson,” and the Kangiotu ladies, winch were lustily given. The ladies entertained all present at supper. The performance concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
