Hun (a.) —Is the Royal Flying Corps name of a youth which has not yet taken his Hying certificate. Joy-ride (a.)—A trip up aloft is always referred to as a joy-ride. Joy-stick (the). —The air pilot’s slang for control-stick. Pancake (to). —Is for the machine to fall Hat to the ground. Pylon-pilot (a). —A Pylon-pilot is a gentleman who prefers flying before a large and admiring crowd at an aerodrome to war flying.
Quirk (a), —The R.N.A.S. name for the youth who has not yet taken Ids aeroplane certificate. Sausage (a). —Air slang for a kite balloon,
Stunt (a). —A bomb-raiding expedition.
