Ror obvious reasons the meetings are of a private nature, but from what can be gathered some of the evidence lias been a bit of an eye-opener to ttie committee, and as a result it is a certainty that more than one race-goer will be notified that racing at Ellerslie can be carried on satisfactorily without his presence.’ If our newlyappointed National Efficiency Board has any power at all, it ought to cut racing right out of action for the war period.”
