ANZAC DAY.

Anzae Day this year falls upon the same day as is set aside l>y law for [lie polling for local elections. The Government has no power under the law to postpone these elections, and the Minister of Interna! Affairs states that it had been determined that Anzae Day should be celebrated, not on April 25th, but on Monday, April 23rd, which is St. George's Day, and a Bank holiday. The same conditions will be insisted upon for the celebration of the occasion as in last year —no sports are to be held on that day.
