PATRIOTIC SPORTS.

AT OROUA DOWNS, TO-MOR-ROW. The Oroua Downs Patriotic. Sports will be held in Mr Hammond’s grounds to-morrow, and the first event in a lengthy programme will take place, at 11 a.m. The programme consists of 2(1 events, including horse and foot events, wrestling on horseback, chainstepping, married women's race, driving competitions, ladies’ riding' competition, pillow tight, sheaf tossing, etc. Admission to the grounds is Is, children half-price. A. refreshment booth will be supervised by the ladies, (liven a line day, the sports should attract a large attendance, and a good day’s outing is assured.
