Mr Webb, M.P., in a speed) replying to criticism concerning him, offered, if his critics could bring a requisition from one thousand electors, that he would resign and contest again the seat on his present platform. Mr AVebb claimed that he had no invitation to attend send-offs to soldiers. In answer to the Patriotic Association, he quoted his work in Parliament for soldiers’ dependents’ increased pensions.
