DROWNING ACCIDENT.

Hastings. Feb. 12. frank A. Watson, farmer and slock dealer, a resident on the Ka- . rama road, aged 50 years, was drowned while bathing at Wuimarama yesterday, i). A. Graham and IS. \V. Waters vainly attempted a rescue. They reachel the shore exhausted. Mrs Watson and many * others witnessed the fatality, but were powerless to help.
