MILITARY SERVICE APPEALS.
POXTON CASES
The second sittings of the First Wellington Military Appeal Board commenced in Palmerston yesterday. Mr D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., presided, and with him were Messrs D. McLean and W. Perry. Captain Walker represented the Military Department. Harry Charles Edwards, station hand, Lady’s Mile, Foxton, called up under section 35, appealed on the grounds of being medically unfit. Two brothers, William Guy Edwards, clerk, Foxton, and Walter George Tansley Edwards, draper, Lady’s Mile, also appealed, hut there was no appearance of these appellants. Captain AValker stated that Milliam Edwards had withdrawn his appeal, and the other brother had enlisted, and was in camp. The appeal of Hairy Edwards was adjourned till next Thursday, in order that appellant might he examined by the Medical Board.
