ENTERTAINMENTS.
“OUR PICTURES.” TO-NIGHT! The current programme at the Town Hall pictures is headed by a strong and virile drama entitled “Hate, or The Aryan,” featuring W. S. Hart and Bessie Love, two screen favourites-. The story is a powerful one of a man who, through the machinations of a gang of gamblers, was “taken down” for his riches, and through the influence of a woman in the pay of the gamblers, was deprived of the knowledge that his mother, whom he dearly loved, was lying on her death bed. So biller was his wrath that he vowed vengeance on ail mankind, and also in his hate he carried off the woman who had deceived him, and, establishing a village in the wiids, collected round him a gang of lowbred rascals who delighted in committing the desires of his wrath. No other woman is allowed inside this ‘‘town of hate,” but one day I here came, with a band of wandering prospectors, a little girl (Bessie Love), who refuses to believe that the white leader of the wild gang has forgotten the code of his race. So all alone she creeps away from the prospectors’ camp and enters the town of desperate men. She sees Denton. In her he sees only one more victim upon which he may vent his terrible vengeance, but her purity of heart and influence make itself felt, and the bad man is in lime regenerated, and the story ends happily. The supporting items are a good lot. KIM DAY. One Night Only. The, drama deals with a subject of vital interest to all who are by force, of cireumstauees compelled to work for their living. The great lesson is (old in a way that entertains while it leaches.
