PRISON-BREAKERS PUNISHED.
Auckland, Jan.' 31. At the Police Court to-day Albert McQueen and A. J. W. Roberts appeared on a charge of attempted prison-hreakin.g McQueen was considered the ringleader and was sentenced to lose marks equivalent to 12 months’ remission, ajjd Roberts to lose six months’ marks. Both men were ordered to he placed on bread ami water for 14 days, and to be kept in a separate division until farther orders.
